Take the A354 from Blandford towards Salisbury as far as the small village of Cashmoor (Inn on the Chase). At the speed de-restriction sign at the far end (the eastern end) of the village on the right hand side is a lay-by with a gate that leads up a gravel track. Park in the lay-by, go through the gate and start walking! It is about half a mile to the down.
