To aid users of mobile devices as well as those with a mouse or laptop finger pad this site uses a simple image-based menu system. Virtually every picture you see (images and photos) are links to more information arranged in a sort of top-down structure. See an image, click or tap on it to open a new page.
These are species recorded on this site in organised survey work; obviously it is not complete but it is intended to give a guide as to what may be seen during a visit:
This list not, of course, a definitive list. The time of year you visit will affect what you see and more mobile species (birds and mammals for example) may have been there when I visited but that does not mean they will necessarily be there if you do! There will also be species that are present at times when I have not been there so use this list in conjunction with the records submitted via Twitter on the contributed records report. You can use the filters to select records for a species group or sub-group that you may be interested in,. Click on any thumbnail photo to find out more about a particular species.Displaying 97 - 192 of 214Hairy Tare01/10/2015Hard Fern10/09/2013Hard Rush10/09/2013Harts-tongue14/07/2016Hazel01/10/2015Hedge Bindweed10/09/2013Hemp-agrimony14/07/2016Herring Gull01/10/2015Holly01/10/2015Honeysuckle14/07/2016Horse-chestnut14/07/2016Hoverfly (E balteatus)10/09/2013Hoverfly (H pendulus)14/07/2016Hoverfly (X sylvarum)14/07/2016Ivy01/10/2015Ivy-leaved Speedwell01/10/2015Jackdaw14/07/2016Jointed Rush14/07/2016KingfisherKite-tailed Robber fly10/09/2013Large Red Damselfly14/07/2016Large Rock Stonecrop14/07/2016Large White14/07/2016Lesser Celandine09/04/2008Lichen (C coniocraea)10/09/2013Lichen (E prunastri)01/10/2015Lichen (G scripta)08/01/2012Lichen (H physodes)01/10/2015Lichen (P caperata)01/10/2015Lichen (R farinacea)01/10/2015Lichen (U subfloridana)01/10/2015Lichen (X parietina)01/10/2015Ling10/09/2013Little Egret01/10/2015Little Grebe09/04/2008Magpie01/10/2015Male-fern14/07/2016Mallard14/07/2016Many-zoned Polypore14/07/2016Marsh Bedstraw14/07/2016Marsh Marigold09/04/2008Marsh Pennywort14/07/2016Marsh Ragwort14/07/2016Marsh St Johns-wort14/07/2016Marsh Thistle14/07/2016Mediterranean Gull01/10/2015Moorhen01/10/2015Mute Swan01/10/2015Oystercatcher01/10/2015Peacock09/04/2008Pedunculate Oak14/07/2016Pellitory-of-the-Wall10/09/2013Peregrine01/10/2015Pied Wagtail01/10/2015Polypody Fern10/09/2013Pond Skater10/09/2013Primrose09/04/2008Purple Moor Grass01/10/2015Red Admiral14/07/2016Red Campion14/07/2016Red Squirrel14/07/2016Red-breasted Merganser10/02/2008Redshank14/07/2016Reed Warbler09/04/2008Robin14/07/2016Rock Samphire14/07/2016Round-leaved Cranesbill10/09/2013Rowan14/07/2016Royal Fern14/07/2016Sandwich Tern14/07/2016Scarlet Pimpernel14/07/2016Scots Pine14/07/2016Sea Beet14/07/2016Sea Purslane14/07/2016Selfheal14/07/2016Sharp-flowered Rush01/10/2015Shelduck01/10/2015Shoveler08/01/2012Sika Deer16/01/2011Silver Birch14/07/2016Silverweed14/07/2016Slender Rush14/07/2016Small Red Damselfly14/07/2016Small White14/07/2016Soft Rush14/07/2016Soldier Beetle (R fulva)14/07/2016Southern Hawker14/07/2016Speckled Wood10/09/2013Spoonbill01/10/2015Spotted Redshank01/10/2015Stinking Iris14/07/2016Stump Puffball16/01/2011Swallow10/09/2013Sweet Chestnut14/07/2016Sweet Violet09/04/2008Sycamore14/07/2016
